 Congratulations to Sharon Looney for being selected as our March Volunteer of the month.
Sharon has lived in the Fernley/ Silver Springs area for 35 years.
She has been a volunteer here at the Senior Center for 2 years. Sharon helps out wherever and whenever she can. Some of the areas she helps is with bingo, collecting money whenever we have a bake sale/ auction, decorating as she is able, and volunteers with our entertainment committee.
You might remember her as the Grandma with the good looking legs recently in one of our shows!!!
She became a volunteer because Ann Marie volunteered her one day! Her favorite thing about being a volunteer is seeing people enjoy themselves.
Sharon has 6 children, 20 grandchildren, 27 Great grandchildren and 2 on the way!!! Whooo… I think she made the record!!!
Her former profession was as a waitress.
Sharon would encourage you to become a volunteer because we need the help at the center and it is a real joy to make people smile. We can always use more smiles!!!
Thank you Sharon for your smile, your enthusiasm, and your great smelling perfume!!! You smell like a grandma should.
