November Volunteer of the Month

November 1, 2007

Congratulations to Martha Judson for being selected as our November volunteer of the month. Martha has lived here for 2 years, and prior to moving here she lived in Niverville, NY. This is upstate New York near Albany.

Martha has been a volunteer here at the Senior Center for 1 year and has volunteered since 1956. She started as a candy striper in the local hospital.
Her main duties as a volunteer have been to help out at the front desk as needed. She also volunteers in the Jr. League Thrift Shop, pregnancy crisis center and as a Substitute Teacher.
One of her favorite things regarding volunteering is meeting new people, listening, sharing the hugs and the smiles.

She has her 1 son, 1 daughter and 6 grandchildren. Half of her family lives in Ohio the other half in Rocklin Ca. Her former profession was a preschool teacher, special Ed teacher, bank teller, and she worked as a Individual Aide for a deaf student.

Martha encourages people to volunteer because it is fun!
