April 2008 Volunteer of the Month Happy news!!! Lucy Hoagland has been chosen as the April volunteer of the month. Lucy has lived here for three years and before moving to Fernley she resided in Hollister Ca. Her previous occupations were as a telephone operator and 28 years as a teacher’s assistant. Lucy has a daughter that lives in Tennessee and a son here in Fernley. She also has two wonderful granddaughters. Lucy has volunteered here for about 2 years and works about 30 hours a week. Lucy sets the tables each day, makes the coffee, helps serve lunch to people who need assistance, at bingo she helps by bringing the winners their prizes. But her most important job is to keep our transportation specialist in line each day! Lucy, thank you for all you do. Because of your gracious attitude many seniors have a warm and loving place to spend time at each day.
