Volunteer of the Month
 Congratulations and a big YAHOO to Gi Gi Verling for being chosen as the December volunteer of the month.
GI GI has lived in Fernley for 22 years, and prior to moving here she lived in Palo Alto, Ca. Her profession is being the proud owner of her company SM BS for 14 years.
She has been volunteering here at the senior center for 3 years and has been a volunteer for about 6 years.
Currently she mainly volunteers in our Thrift Shop, but she also helps out in our Library from time to time.
GI GI became a volunteer to reach out to others. Her favorite thing about volunteering is knowing I have the ability to make someone’s day. The other nice part is hearing people say “Look GIGI’s here!”
GI GI say’s “Don’t sit at home and feel sorry for yourself. Reach out, volunteer and enjoy your fellow seniors. Most of us have a story, just listen.
