The Nevada Commission on Economic Development (NCED) has been invited to Fernley by the Fernley Chamber of Commerce to provide two half-day workshops on Monday, July 13th designed to help businesses be more prosperous and to help the community be more involved in its planning and growth.
The workshops are part of the very successful Community Outreach program that NCED has provided in Ely, Mesquite and Tonopah. The program exposes business and community leaders to many of the programs they may not be aware of to help them plan and grow. “We take our division directors into the community and have realistic discussions about your needs,” said Michael E. Skaggs, NCED executive director.”
The Monday morning workshop will provide valuable and tested tools to government and community leaders on how grow, prosper and improve the quality of life through planning and action.

Some of the business development opportunities scheduled include government and corporate contracting opportunities, branding and marketing your business, international export information, state business incentives as well as other tools available to you and your business. There will also be time for one-on-one business counseling appointments.
“We’re excited to be able to provide our businesses and community leaders with these resources from NCED and NCOT at one time and in one place. It will be one of those rare opportunities where you might have nothing to lose and everything to gain just by attending,” said Chris Beni, board president of the Fernley Chamber of Commerce.
The workshops are free for Fernley Chamber of Commerce members and $10.00 for non-members, which includes admission to the morning and afternoon sessions. For more information and to reserve your place, contact the Fernley Chamber of Commerce at 775-575-4459.
