Silver Springs, NV. - Lyon County Animal Services has announced today that the hours of the Shelter and staff have been expanded:
Kennel Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Excluding holidays)
Saturday & Sunday 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Office Hours: Monday - Sunday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Excluding holidays)
Lyon County Animal Services will have at least one Animal Services Officer on duty seven days a week from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Excluding holidays).
In 2009 Lyon County Animal Services saw a 62% decrease in dogs euthanized and a 61% increase in dogs being rescued. Lyon County Animal Services provides services to the residents of Smith Valley, Mason Valley, Silver Springs, Stagecoach, Marktwain, Dayton, Dayton Valley, Moundhouse and Silver City.
